Marine Electrician
Position Location: Kingston, ON
Position Status: Full-time (40 hours minimum)
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday; 6:45am - 5:15pm
Position Summary
The Marine Electrician is responsible for the installation of electrical components/systems on vessels in a safe, tidy and consistent manner.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
The successful incumbent will have:
- Experience with 12/24volt DC systems and 120/240volt AC electrical systems
- Experience installing electrical components ( crimping, terminating, routing and guarding of wires) and troubleshooting using a multi-meter
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and wire colours
- Ability to perform work quickly, cleanly and safely in sometimes tight and unconventional spaces
- Ability to continuously learn new practices, techniques and applications
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, demonstrated within a team environment
- Understanding of ABYC standards an asset; willingness to obtain ABYC certification
Working Conditions

Aluminum Welder
Position Location: Kingston, ON
Position Status: Full-time (40 hours minimum)
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday; 6:45am - 5:15pm
Reports to: Production Supervisor

Position Summary
Performs welding of aluminum for the construction of hulls, cabins and other structures. Completes both MIG (majority) and TIG work using welding machine, wire brush, grinder and other small hand tools to complete the job. Keeps work area clean, tidy and safe.
Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance of personal welding machine
- Ensure area to be welded is adequately prepared for welding. Assist fitters to prepare area as needed.
- Weld in flat, horizontal and overhead positions
- Ability to use MIG and TIG equipment to produce quality welds, both visually appealing and strong
- Take measurements, lay-out work and calculate material requirements as needed
- Read and interpret drawing and plans as they relate to project
- Fit and weld various metals, particularly aluminum
- Adhere to shop safety policies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful incumbent will demonstrate:

- Punctual and consistent attendance with a willingness to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
- A willingness to learn new concepts, techniques and skill sets
- The ability to work as part of a team or independently
- The ability to work in awkward postures such as kneeling, bending, twisting, laying down; ability to stand for long periods of time, grip, grasp and perform repetitive movements
- Attention to detail and care in all undertakings
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs
The successful incumbent will have:
- Demonstrated welding ability. MIG aluminum experience a definite asset
- Experience reading and interpreting assembly, build and weld drawings
- Experience using a variety of hand tools such as: grinder, chop-saw
- Knowledge of wire/filler material applications, and a working knowledge of weld set-up parameters for various steel alloys
Work Environment
- This position is regularly exposed to loud and dusty environments. At times, welders are required to work in small, compact areas

Marine Outfitter

Installs finished parts and components such as hatches, trim, seats, cabinets and windshields to the interior and exterior of the boat in safe and timely manner.

- A willingness to learn new concepts, techniques and skill sets
- The ability to work as part of a team or independently

- Attention to detail and care in all undertakings
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Ability to adapt to new plans and ideas
- Experience reading and interpreting assembly and build drawings
- Previous experience in carpentry, cabinet making

Metal Fitter
Position Location: Watertown, NY
Position Status: Full-time (40 hours minimum)
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday; 7:00am - 5:30pm
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Closing Date: Once filled - ASAP
Position Summary
The Metal Fitter is responsible for the metal fabrication and lay out of materials for welders to weld parts to the hull while supporting a safe work environment.
The successful candidate will have some experience working in a hands-on metal fabrication or carpentry environment and have a passion for boating.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The successful incumbent will demonstrate:

- Punctual and consistent attendance with a willingness to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
- A willingness to learn new concepts, techniques and skill sets.
- The ability to work as part of a team or independently.
- Conscientious of how each individual contributes to overall success of Company.
- The ability to work in awkward postures such as kneeling, bending, twisting, laying down; ability to stand for long periods of time, grip, grasp and perform repetitive movements.
- The ability to lift up to 50lbs.
The successful incumbent will have:
- Previous experience working in a metal shop or in carpentry an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints an asset.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment
- Position primarily works in a noisy, dusty manufacturing environment.
- Position requires physical labour and may be required to climb ladders, lift heavy materials and assume awkward body postures.
- Position performs work inside and outdoors year round.
